Nestling in one of the few remaining areas in England of ancient forests, the Forest of Dean has 27,000 acres of Crown woodland and was once a hunting ground for Norman Kings. Our oak trees were used to build the ships for the Royal Navy and Nelson's flagship "The Victory" which required 3,500 trees!
In 1938 the Forest of Dean was designated the first National Forest Park in England.
